About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat where a few of us swapped screenshots and complained about mobile games that looked great in trailers and fell apart after twenty minutes. Eventually we got tired of forgetting which ones were actually worth the storage space, so we wrote it all down and put it here.

We pick games the way most people do: something catches our eye in the store, a friend won't stop talking about it, or a genre we love gets a new release. Then somebody on the team plays it properly, not for five minutes but until we understand how the systems click together.

Every review and guide on this site comes from that hands-on time. If a game bored us by day three, we say so. If a small indie thing surprised us, we say that too. There's no ranking formula we're forced to follow.

We're a small independent team, not a studio and not tied to any publisher. The goal is simple: help you spend your evening on a game that respects your time.
